When people learn how to listen to themselves, they begin to live a better life and improve the communities they live in.

Sangeeta Laura Biagi, Ph.D.

My research on the power of the voice began over thirty years ago, and has led me to travel the world to learn listening, singing, and healing practices.

My spiritual and professional journey involved yoga, astrology, music, theater and activities on three continents (Europe, Asia and North America). Over the years I have developed a healing system that today I want to share with other people, to help them renew themselves and transform the society in which we live.

My courses, classes and seminars are rooted in ancient teachings of living traditions and combine contemporary and inclusive approaches to self-awareness and relaxation for wholistic and integrated living.

My training….

I trained in voice and performance studies at renowned Italian and U.S. universities.

After a degree in Foreign Languages and Literature cum laude, in 2004 I earned a Master of Arts and a Doctorate in the Department of Performance Studies at the Tisch School of the Arts, New York University, with a dissertation on the expressive and healing power of the human voice. In New York, I deepened my studies on healing through sound and theater with Meredith Monk, Pauline Oliveros and Augusto Boal, among others. I also trained, under the guidance of therapist Reverend Ione, as an intercultural interfaith Minister with the organization The Ministry of Maåt.

In 2009, I moved to India to devote myself to the traditional study of Yoga at the International Center for Yoga Education and Research, in the Rishiculture Ashtanga Yoga tradition codified by Yogamaharishi Dr. Swami Gitananda Giri. I was truly blessed to meet my Yoga Gurus, Yogacharini Smt Meenakshi Devi Bhavanani and Yogacharya Dr. Ananda Balayogi Bhavanani.

After two years of residential studies and over 3500 hours of practical and theoretical training, I received a Two-Year Senior Yoga Teacher Diploma and the title of “Yogacharini” (Advanced Yoga Teacher).
