On the Spring and Fall Equinoxes the length of daylight and nightlight is equal. The word itself, equi– same noxis– night, is a Latin word that expresses just that. This is a great weekend to celebrate balance, harmony and equanimity, inside and out. Astrologically speaking, this is the beginning of Aries Season: the Sun has just entered the constellation of Aries, joined by the planet Venus which will enter Aries on Monday, March 22.

In the Northern hemisphere, Winter has ended, Spring has begun and today is the beginning of a new Zodiacal Astrological year! Are you ready? Let’s see how we can make the best of this weekend to welcome the NEW:

  1. Take a moment to breathe and review the year that began last March 20, 2020 and ended yesterday. Realize the depth of your growth and flexibility in making it through; acknowledge your strength and courage.
  2. In contemplating last year’s ups and downs, take stock of some of your qualities of character, such as your capacity to change, to transform, your openness to grow, and more. Commit to nourish these talents moving forward into the new astrological year.
  3. You already imagine what’s coming next, yes? Letting go! What’s clouding your vision, slowing you down in unwanted ways, keeping you from feeling fully yourself? What small steps can you take to change your current situation to make space for the NEW?
  4. Believe in yourself! YOU GOT THIS. Whatever it is that you have been thinking about during this last year, what worked and what didn’t, your peaks and valleys, they brought you here. HERE and NOW is where everything happens. YOU are the main character of your story. You are the protagonist.

Equinox Song

We sing the balance of Dark and Light

We sing of the falling leaves and the buds

We honor the Dance of Seasons

The bees and the bugs

We shed a tear for who’s no longer here

We connect to the hemisphere and its haze that gives us dusk and dawn

We give thanks to the beginning and the end

What’s hidden and what’s revealed

By the Sun and the Moon

And the tilting of the Earth in its revolutionary loom.
