On the evening of Tuesday, February 19, the Sun enters the sign of Aquarius. Despite the name and the glyph, the symbol that represents this sign, may remind us of the water element, Aquarius is an air sign. The waves of the glyph represent vibrations, especially those through which knowledge is shared, the vibrations of the mind. The signs of air, Libra (cardinal), Aquarius (fixed) and Gemini (mutable) all have a strong resonance with knowledge. The “fixed” quality of this sign makes it the most individualistic and rebellious, especially to mental forms that are no longer useful for the spiritual evolution of humanity. The waves of Aquarius also represent electromagnetic vibrations, including all that we attract (magnetic) and manifest (electric) through our thinking patterns. The seed planet of the sign, its “ruler”, is Uranus, a planet with a unique movement in our solar system since its axis is almost parallel to the orbital plane, so much so that its motion is similar to a “rolling”.

In Hermetic astrology, when we put all these elements together (sign + qualities of the ruler planet), we interpret the period in which the Sun is in Aquarius (February 19-March 18) as a space for deep reflection in search of one’s uniqueness, individuality, talents and voice so that we may share our contributions with others for the benefit of all.

Useful Tips: leave room for yourself and others; we are all doing our best to understand who we are, what are the filters with which we have perceived our life so far, and how to change our mental formations, when necessary. Action Steps: Breathe, listen, cultivate silence to understand each other and plan the necessary changes to live a more peaceful life.
